New Owners, But The Same Excellent Management and Staff

April - June 2007 saw a change in ownership but no changes in the management and staff at the Wayside.
which is the key reason the Wayside Cheer Hotel has been so popular in the past.
In April the lease was changed to Julia and Ken and the final sale of the property from the brewery took place in June securing the future on one of the Islands finest hotels and now making it a free house.

2007 April , Bar redecorated to make brighter but maintain the charm of one of the finest bars in Guernsey, Introduction of entertainment every Friday/Saturday Night.

2007 June, The wayside regained its 2 Star Status and extensive improvements began.

Winter 2007/8 All the hotel rooms refurbished with New Beds, Furniture, Carpets, Curtains etc.

February 2008 Chalets are now being refurbished ready for the season.

ALL ROOMS WILL BE REFURBISHED FOR THE 2008 SEASON

May 2008 The hotel exterior had been repainted and the hotel looks much nicer in the new colours

June 2008 The Floral baskets are up and the hotel is ready for the summer this year the flowers are
more colourful than ever.

June 2008, They said it could not be done but with the hard work of the Hotel staff
all the rooms are now all ready and guests are enjoying the new look.

July 2008 The Restaurant has been decorated
